Living & Leisure

I think I'm either going to do a movie theater or library for this beach town.

Movie Theater Pictures:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to make a movie theater for this town. I plan on somehow incorporating lights. Maybe Christmas lights. I plan on having a sign in the front similar to the last two pictures. I will have to leave enough room for theaters to be included in the back of the building. I would like to have at least 5 or 6 theaters. I need to look up how big movie theater's are and then see how many could fit with our given inch reguirements.

Famous Buildings

Out of all the categories of famous buildings we discussed in class, I like the Castles, Palaces & Forts unit.  I like them the most because the architecure is extroadinary and larger than life. I would love to see places like these in person. Those buildings remind me of fairytales.

My favorite building that we talked about would probably be the United States Capital building. I liked this one the most because I have been inside the Capital building and on the House of Representative's floor/section of the building. The buildings in D.C. fascinate me.

A building I would've liked to see in this unit would be Buckingham Palace. It is the place of residence for the British monarchy and still used today. I feel as if it would've been interesting to learn about its architecture and history. It would've fallen under the Palaces, Castles and Forts category.

Client Project #2

For this project, I had to create a home under 1500 square feet to meet my client's needs. These needs included a living room with bookshelves and enough room for a piano, a small greenhouse, sewing room, a study and enough room to accommodate at least two children. The couple wanted all of this in a home that does not exceed 1500 square feet due to their strict budget.
My design includes all of the above. It totalled out to 1493 square feet which is just under the criteria. It also contains a small sewing room and study, enough room for their baby grand piano, a bedroom big enough for two kids and a small greenhouse with a pond in their backyard.
